If the house is just the physical structure, then the home is the reflection of our inner selves, telling your story via physical form. It represents our past, present, and aspirational future. Many times, I find myself working with clients that are at a crossroads where big change is happening in their lives, driving the impetus to re-envision their home. Life transitions can be exciting but also can be emotional and challenging when trying to rediscover who you are in this new chapter. Rest easy…I am here with and for you. Using my extensive experience and design expertise, I will help you navigate this exciting and often overwhelming journey to realize your WELL-designed home. I’ve streamlined the decision-making process so that you can relax and focus on what is important – your family, your work, and your life.
As a high achiever, I push myself to constantly learn and grow. I refuse to stagnate or be complacent. I continue to stretch the boundaries of my comfort zone. It’s one of the reasons I was motivated to change careers, returning to the University of Florida for my Master’s in Interior Design. Side effects of this approach are high stress, anxiety, an endless to-do list. Often my mind just won’t shut off. At the same time I made my career change, I was a primary caregiver to a sick parent who was hospitalized on-and-off for four years. To say that I understand how a sick parent, death, job stress, or money pressures can affect our health, I GET IT! The stress torched my adrenal glands. Thus, I began a health journey that led me to my purpose. I created small daily habits that promote mindful living, holding space to attend to my body, mind, and soul.
Here’s where my messes, coupled with my passion for interior design became my message. My mission is to create a beautiful sanctuary for my clients that supports healthy habits that restore body, mind and spirit. Habits like feeding your family in a light-filled, smart and functional kitchen that actually inspires home-cooked, healthy meals or winding down with a good book cuddled next to your love in a calm, cozy bedroom that entices you to bed early. Color, lighting, and furniture culminate to create harmony in your environment.
My personal aesthetic is to create what I deem the modern interior – an eclectic mix of vintage and new, organic elements that ground the space, and layered, strategic use of color, texture, and pattern that pique interest. Spaces should engage the senses, being both calming and slightly stimulating. Most importantly, life is ever-changing, and our spaces should continue to grow and evolve with us. My belief is that modern living is about designing mindful interiors that MOVE you and move with you.

THE TREIBE
I guess it really started with a pencil. My last name is Reiber <rye-burr>, and as the fifth child each with names starting with T, my mother used to personalize our pencils “T.REIBER”. I applaud her efforts to be conservative with resources, however, it illustrates a childhood of hand me downs…and more importantly, not being “seen”. In a large family with several big personalities, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle, struggling to find your unique voice. Subsequently, I used “treib5” as my email handle to jokingly illustrate my generic place in the family.
Treibe Design was founded out of an effort to reclaim my design voice and unique perspective after a decade working for other firms, designing in their style, and not having real input in the overall direction. I am now fulfilling my dream to build and grow an interior design firm working with top talents in their respective fields. I intentionally chose a firm name that gave a slight nod to me, the founder, but primarily gave my design tribe equal input and ownership in our creations. After all, it’s through connection and community that we are truly able to achieve great things – far greater than doing it alone!
